Egg Carton Flowers Supplies
- 1 Egg Carton, paper style
- 4 Green Bendy Straws
- Craft Paint---assorted colors
- Glitter
- Hole Punch
- Hot Glue Gun
- Paint Brush
How to make Heart Flowers Step by Step
1. Cut off the top flap of the egg carton and discard. Using the bottom tray of the carton, cut off each end making sure each has 4 round egg holders. The middle 4 egg holders will not be used.
2. Trim a “V” into the top edge of each end of the carton, right between 2 of the egg holders. This will be the top part of the hearts.
3. Trim off the bottom half of each of the 2 egg holders at an angle, on each of the carton pieces. It should look like they come to a point now, and each carton piece should be in the shape of a heart.
4. Paint each heart shaped egg carton in whatever colors you choose, and sprinkle glitter on as well.
5. Let these dry for about 15-20 minutes.
6. Take a bendy straw and press it together in the middle. Punch a hole through it. Be careful doing this so you keep the hole intact.
7. Bend the other straw down at the flex part, and cut it off so both sides of the flex part are equal. Push this piece through the hole so the flex part is in the middle of the hole, and bend each end upward to look like flower leaves. Repeat this step with the other 2 straws.
8. Hot glue each straw stem to the back of each flower.
9. Easy and fun craft!
