Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the pork sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Use a paper towel to blot out most of the grease from the pan, but leave a bit for flavor.
Stir in the all-purpose flour, butter, and half and half. Continue to cook on medium-low, stirring often.
After a few minutes, the mixture will thicken into a rich, creamy gravy.
Add thyme, rosemary, red pepper flakes, and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Spoon the sausage gravy generously over warm biscuits and serve immediately.
