Easy Frozen Chocolate Mudslide Pie Recipe
Looking for an exciting new dessert to add to your recipe book? Look no further than the Mississippi Mudslide Pie.
This decadent pie has flavors of chocolate, coffee, and cream, and is sure to please any crowd.
I've always been a fan of frozen Mudslide cocktails. I think it was one of the first alcoholic beverages that I had when I turned 18. (The legal drinking age way back when!)
I still make them to this day. So when I heard there was a frozen mudslide pie recipe...I had to make it!
This is the nonalcoholic version, however, it can also be made with Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Cream. Yum!
Best of all, it's easy to make and requires only a few simple ingredients.

A rich, gooey crumb crust is topped with an assortment of ingredients that will have your mouth watering before you've even taken one bite, sour cream and coffee flavors coupled together plus melted semi-sweet chocolates for sweetness.
So why wait? Grab your apron and get baking!

How to Make a Mississippi Mudslide Pie
Start by melting your chocolate chips in a double boiler or place a glass bowl inside a pot of boiling water. You can also melt them in the microwave if you prefer.

Stir continuously until chocolate chips are completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
Mix together your instant coffee with a teaspoon of boiling water. Stir until dissolved.

Add your sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Mix until blended.

Add in your melted chocolate and stir until combined.

Pour into chocolate pie crust and spread evenly.

Next, mix with a stand mixer or handheld mixer your heavy cream, powdered sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder.

Beat until fluffy and stiff peaks form.

Pour into pie crust on top of the chocolate layer and spread evenly.

Place in the freezer for at least 3 hours.

Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with more chocolate chips and whipped cream if you desire.
