Does Texas Roadhouse Butter Need to be Refrigerated
You might be wondering, does Texas Roadhouse Butter need to be refrigerated? The answer is no!
According to the USDA, butter can be stored at room temperature, making it convenient for you to always have some on hand.
Keep it in an airtight container to keep other flavors away from it for up to one week.
You can also store it in the refrigerator for up to a month in an airtight container.
Can I Freeze Honey Butter
Yes, you can freeze the cinnamon butter. Place in an airtight, freezer-safe, container and store for up to three months.
When you remove it, place it on the counter to thaw. Do not microwave it because it will separate.
Why Are You Using Heavy Whipping Cream and Not Butter
If you've ever whipped up butter, and most likely you have not, it takes a really long time.
I used to do it daily when I worked at the Original Pancake House. We would throw pounds of blocks of butter into the mixer and whip it with a dough hook.
It took a good hour or so. By making the Texas Roadhouse butter with heavy whipping cream, it takes a lot less time and you get a more whipped cinnamon honey butter with it.
How to Make Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter
Place your heavy whipping cream in a large bowl or your stand mixer.
Beat your cream on high until it forms into butter, and separates from the liquid, which is now buttermilk.
Remove your butter from the buttermilk and place it into a cheesecloth or kitchen towel. If using a cheesecloth, fold four times to create a thickness.
Form the butter into a ball in your hands and twist the remaining cheesecloth or towel. Squeeze out all your buttermilk from your butter until no more is removed. You can discard your buttermilk, but I suggest saving it for recipes or to drink!
Add your butter back to a bowl that no longer has the buttermilk in it, or a new and clean bowl.
Add to your butter the honey, cinnamon, and salt. Mix and whisk together.
Transfer to an airtight container for up to three weeks or enjoy immediately!
Enjoy on a batch of freshly made warm Texas Roadhouse Rolls or your favorite English muffin.
