Ingredients
- Spiral pasta noodles
- Mini Pepperonis (or cut regular pepperoni into 4 if you can't find minis)
- Cheese sticks cut into ½ inch pieces
- Italian dressing
- Container of Cherry tomatoes
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese (optional)
- For exact amounts, please see the recipe card below.
Pasta Salad Variations
You can add more veggies if you would like. These are just the ones my family loves.
- Red peppers
- green peppers
- cucumbers
- black olives
- green olives
- carrots
- radishes
- corn
- artichoke hearts
- pepperoncini
- chopped zucchini
You can also change out the dressing. Some options are:
- Ranch
- Oil and Vinegar
- Balsamic vinegar
Top with some Parmesan cheese and a touch of white sugar. It takes the edge off the Italian dressing without making it sweet.
Spiral Salad Tips
I like to use the Garden Vegetable spiral pasta. It gives it color and helps the kids their veggies in.
This can be prepared the day before. It will absorb the Italian dressing and you will have to add more before serving. However, the flavors marry together and always tastes better the second day.
How to Make Easy Spiral Pasta Salad
Boil your noodles al dente according to the package.
Once done, drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Cut your cheese sticks into half-inch pieces.
Slice your cherry tomatoes in half.
If you couldn't find the mini pepperonis, then slice your regular pepperoni into 4.
Mix with the noodles. Add your shredded mozzarella cheese if you are using it.
Pour in your Italian Dressing and mix well.
Place in the refrigerator to chill.

Made this on a whim, because the fam was craving cheese and pepperoni pizza and with our 18th day of 100+ degree temps here in Texas, I couldn't bear the thought of turning on the oven (we don't do take out in my family). With the addition of sliced black olives and banana peppers, this salad was a hit!! My family of four polished off the entire bowl in one sitting! Definitely putting this in the summer rotation.

So glad you enjoyed it. It's always been my go-to salad.
