This is just one of the many reasons to join Harvest Hosts. We have definitely gotten our money's worth and with a new location every stop, it really is an adventure. As a member of Harvest Hosts, you get to stay at these awesome golf courses, farms, museums and wineries like Grand River Cellars Winery in Madison Ohio.

This was the 2nd time staying at Grand River Cellars. We liked it so much the first time that we decided to stop again. Both times the place was jamming with locals, so you know it’s good. But even with a full house, there’s plenty of space to park on both sides of the long driveway. Just a short jaunt off the interstate and easy to get to.

The Food

They asked us to make dinner reservations when we called so when we arrived we were promptly seated on the patio. The staff was super friendly. The Grand River Cellars menu has a large selection to choose from, you will find appetizers, sandwiches, dinners, and dessert.

The food is excellent. We happened to stop on the 2 nights that the spaghetti dinner is served. We also had a Bull Burger the first time and a Maple Bacon Burger (which was a special) the second time.

The Wine

I had the wine flight both times (which comes with a free glass) and left with Grand River Cellars Austin’s Blush 75th Anniversary wine.

They have a cute little gift shop upon entering and lots of award. I can see why.

They had live music both times.

Parking

The left side of the driveway on the gravel is more level than the right side. Easy to turn around in the bus turnaround. Nice and peaceful for sleeping. Slept soundly until the rooster started crowing at 7 am. Lol. But it was time to get up anyway.

We stayed with a 35 ft. Motorhome with Jeep Wrangler toad. We were the only ones staying both times. Highly recommend stopping here. Will definitely stop again.

Harvest Hosts Information

Harvest Hosts is a yearly membership where you can stay at farms, wineries and golf courses. Your unit must be self contained and you must call the host no less than 24 hours in advance to reserve your spot and make sure there is room.
