October is approaching quickly and it’s National Apple Month! It’s also a popular time of year for hayrides, tailgating parties, and Halloween parties. If you have school-aged children, now is the time for plan for trick-or-treat costumes, apple-picking excursions, and pumpkin-carving contests.

It’s hard to believe these “donuts” are made using apple slices. A Yummy, healthy kid snack or treat with less sugar than regular donuts!

How to Make Donut Apple Slices

In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar.

Slice apples about ½ inch thick.

Using a knife or apple corer, cut out the center of each apple slice so there is a hole about an inch big.

Spread on the cream cheese mixture on half the apples and the Nutella on the other half.

Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 Apples
  • 1—8oz. pkg. Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cup Powdered Sugar
  • ¾ cup Nutella
  • Multi-Colored Jimmies

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar.
