The Croods: A New Age is Coming to Theaters
Who is excited for the new movie, The Croods: A New Age arriving in Theaters on November 25th? I know I am. Universal Pictures has done it again! On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, grab the family and head to the theaters to see The Croods.
I had the pleasure of previewing the movie and I loved it (and so did the kids, lol!)
Before everyone started shopping ON Thanksgiving, it was a yearly tradition that the entire family would head to the movie theater to see the new movie of the year. And this year, that would be The Croods: A New Age.
Our Thoughts About the The Croods: A New Age Movie
The Croods first movie came out in 2013. And while it's been awhile, you can definitely see the difference and how much animation has evolved in those years.
The one thing I have to say is that the movie is very vibrant and colorful and I love colors. They start out by searching for tomorrow and following the light and start a Travel Log, however, even after a lot of moons there is still no sign of tomorrow.
Until they find their paradise behind a wall. But also find another family...the Betterman's. They are way more advanced than the Croods in every way and have an abundance of food. Some of the Croods like the Betterman's advanced way of life and some like the simple caveman life better.
But, it turns out that Guy knew the Betterman's when he was a kid. The Betterman's devise a plan to get rid of the Croods and keep Guy around to hopefully match up with their daughter Dawn. Will the plan work?
You will find a wild assortment of crazy animals like punch monkeys (that hopefully the kids don't imitate), landsharks, and chicken seals.
Will they be able to save the day? How about finding their perfect tomorrow? I guess you will have to go and see the movie...I can't tell you the ending and spoil it.
But I found that The Croods teach both kids and parents a lesson, so that in itself is very much worth seeing the movie. Is the movie just for kids? Absolutely not. Kids of all ages from 1 to 100 will enjoy this movie no matter the age.
Who Is In It
Well, Grug Crood, Ugga Crood, Guy, Phil Betterman, Hope Betterman, and their daughter Dawn, 😂 But for real...
Some of the cast and filmmakers include, Cloris Leachman and Nicolaus Cage are two of my favorites. But really, I love them all. Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, Leslie Mann, Peter Dinklage, and Kelly Marie Tran just to name a few.
What it's About
What will The Croods do when they encounter another family? It can't be any worse than the fanged prehistoric beasts or the end of the world, can it?
They set off on their adventure and find their perfect safe place to call home. They find their paradise that meets all their needs. An elaborate tree house, amazing inventions and irrigated acres of fresh produce. Wow! Sounds like my kind of paradise.
Unfortunately another family already live there, The Bettermans. But the Bettermans being the "better" family, they take The Croods in.
But can a cave family and modern family live together? Not for long. The tensions begin to build....until a new epic adventure takes them outside the safety of the wall.
However, they will be forced to embrace their differences, draw strength from each other and forge a future together! Which is the way life should be.
