A twist on tradition with a Cream of Pumpkin soup recipe will help you start your own family traditions just like grandma did. With a hint of sage and garlic, this is a creamy soup that your family is sure to love. We used a lot of the same McCormick® spices in our Pumpkin Ice Cream Recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- Pumpkin purée
- Chicken broth, divided
- Butter
- McCormick® Pumpkin Pie Spice
- McCormick® Rubbed Sage
- Garlic Salt
- Parsley Flakes
- Half and half

HOW TO MAKE NEW HOLIDAY TRADITIONS PUMPKIN SOUP
Place Chicken broth and pumpkin purée into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Set aside.
In a large pan or Dutch oven, add the remaining chicken broth, butter, spices and cream. Stir to mix well.
Heat over medium low heat, stirring occasionally until a low simmer.
Stir in the pumpkin mixture and continue to heat on medium low until a low simmer is reached again.
Garnish with a parsley sprig, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon or cream.

- ½ teaspoon McCormick® Parsley Flakes
- 1 cup half and half
Instructions
- Place 1 cup chicken broth and pumpkin purée into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Set aside.
