Dollar Store Christmas Tree Ornaments DIY
Christmas comes but once a year, and while some think it's cancelled this year...it is not! Christmas doesn't have to be about spending money.
This year is tough for a lot of people which is why we are doing our Giving Christmas Away Event. We are trying to help some families that are having a hard time thanks to Covid.
With that being said, these Dollar Store Christmas Tree Ornaments are a simple DIY that the kids can make and give as gifts or even use as gift toppers.
Let's get crafting.
What’s Needed for the Christmas Tree Ornaments
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Plastic Christmas Wreath Garland
- Twine
- Colored Buttons
- Jingle Bells, assorted colors
- Small Pom Poms, assorted Colors
- Hot Glue Gun
- *For exact amounts, please see recipe card below.
Directions
Cut 5 pieces each of wreath garland 1 ½ inch long, 2 inches long, and 2 ½ inches long.
Glue the 1 ½ inch pieces at the top of each cinnamon stick. Glue the 2 inch pieces in the middle, and glue the 2 ½ inch pieces below the middle pieces. Make sure they are all touching, and there is a bit of cinnamon stick showing at the bottom to look like the trunk.
Cut a piece of twine, bend in half, and glue the open ends together on the back of each cinnamon stick. The loop will be at the top of each stick which is the hanger.
Glue 6-7 buttons on two of the trees and 6-7 bells on two of the trees. Then glue the poms on the last tree.
