Disney Encanto Arepas Con Queso Recipe
There are many different types of cakes that can be found in South America, but few have the same history and popularity as Arepas Con Queso.
These are in the Disney movie Encanto so they must be good, right? Check out our We don't Talk about Bruno cupcakes recipe too.
These cornmeal-based delicacies date back hundreds or even thousands of years ago to when people living on this continent were first discovering how great it tasted after grinding up some fresh kernels!
Nowadays you'll see them everywhere from Bogota's street markets down into Colombia, just take one look at any restaurant menu for proof if needed...and then hurry over there before they run out!

What Are Arepas
Pronounced ahr-PAY-zhahs, arepas are a type of Columbian cornbread. Arepas are a traditional Columbian dish made from cornmeal dough.
They can be filled with all sorts of delicious things, like cheese, ham, chicken, and beans.
They make a great lunch or dinner option, and they're also perfect for snacks. If you've never tried an arepa before, now is the time to give them a go!
What Kind Of Cornmeal Do You Need
The traditional cornmeal for arepas is Masarepa. It has an important role in making the texture better, and it gave me what I was missing before-a fuller taste with no grittiness at all!
