Air Fryer Salmon - Lemon Pepper
Lemon pepper seasoning is one of my favorite seasonings. However, you can make this recipe with Cajun or any one of your favorite seasonings. I used frozen salmon and the great part about the air fryer is that you can have dinner on the table in under 15 minutes. This Valentine's Day or whatever day you are making this for, doesn't want to be spent in the kitchen all day slaving over the hot stove. Thank goodness for Ninja Foodie.
We started out the meal with Smoked Salmon Spinach Dip and Instant Pot Fish Chowder. I served the air fryer Salmon on a bed of wild and long grain rice with a side spinach salad. After we had a small slice of Instant Pot Cheesecake with fresh strawberries (it's strawberry season in Florida). We had a very nice early and romantic Valentine's Day and 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner at home. Besides, have you ever gone out for dinner on Valentine's Day? It's crazy!
Serves 2
Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Salmon Ingredients
- 2 - 6 oz Vital Choice Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Fillets
- ½ pouch of Organic Lemon-Pepper Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
- juice of half a Lemon
Frozen Salmon Cooked in the Air Fryer Directions
Preheat air fryer or Ninja Foodie. Remove Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Fillets from freezer. Cut open pouch. Rub Lemon-Pepper seasoning onto both sides of the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Fillets. Spritz with Olive Oil.
Spritz olive oil in basket or use Parchment rounds. Place in air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes on 360º. If your Salmon Fillets are thawed, I would cook 2 - 6 oz fillet for approximately 8 minutes. If you are using 4 oz fillets, I would air fry for about 6 minutes.
Drizzle with juice from a half of lemon.
Serve on a bed of rice and with a side salad. Or you can also serve it on a salad. 😉
How do I know when the salmon is done?
Salmon will be done when it turns an opaque pink color through the center. While some people prefer the salmon rare or undercooked, there is no need to worry about getting sick. Vital Choice Wild Sockeye Salmon is considered "sushi safe" because it has been frozen to a very cold temperature. You want to be careful as you don't want to overcook it. It will then become dry and tough. If you are still scared or just don't like raw salmon, you check the temperature of it with a thermometer. It should be at 145º.
