There's nothing like seeing things from above. I'm not talking about from an airplane or a hot air balloon.

Nope! I'm talking about a drone. Not just any drone either. DJI Mavic Mini 2 Drone Takes Dad to New Heights.

This Father's Day, give dad what he really wants, a DJI Mavic Mini 2 Drone.

What is a DJI Mavic Mini 2 Drone

A drone is a mini video camera that flies high above the ground and can see things down the road. It can travel a ways.

Not only does it include a camera that takes pretty terrific photos, but also it has an HD video recording abilities.

Imagine all the fun and exciting things you can capture on video. It takes excellent quality and smooth footage, so it is easy to watch later.

Use the wi-fi feature with the smartphone app, and you are all set to watch a real-time birds-eye view of what the drone is recording.

Zoom in and out, pan down or outwards to view more. The Mavic Mini 2 is terrific for the beach, camping trips, fishing, hiking, nature walks or just about anything else you do outside.

You do have to be careful and luckily the DJI Mini Mavic 2 will warn you if you are near an airport or some other place where it's not allowed to be flown.

The Mavic Mini is a smaller version of the original drone and is so compact that it fits in the palm of your hand. It also does not have to be registered with the FTC like the original.

A 12 mp camera as well as a 4K/30fps video camera will give you clear pictures at any height.

You can zoom in and out, rotate, and choose from Wide-Angle, 180°, and Sphere panoramas.

The DJI Mini 2 will do the rest, generating a panoramic masterpiece almost instantly.

How Does it Work

Pretty easily actually. I was surprised at how easy it was control. Luckily it comes with extra propellers.

I was worried I was going to crash it that I ordered the blade guards for it. Only to find out that I don't even need them.

Once we had it set up, I placed my phone in the holder. The holder contains the cord to attach the controller to an iPhone or Android.

The left control raises the drone up and down and makes it turn around. The right control makes it go forward and backwards.

The Mavic mini is so easy to control that I am able to take off and land it right in my husband's hand.

Each battery has a 31 minute flight time. Mini 2 can resist 29-38kph winds.

My husband kept telling me it was too windy to fly it on the beach, but I wanted to give it a shot.

It flew like a champ. I will admit that it did get pushed back a little but nothing like he thought it would. Some of my favorite pictures are on the beach.
