Who said tacos have to be messy? With Walking Tacos, chips are the shell so you can walk and taco at the same time. It’s a party in a bag and the most fun way to eat tacos on the go!

Whether you call them Tacos in a Bag or Walking Tacos, they are one and the same. When we go camping, they make such an easy meal with easy cleanup, that we will have them a few times a week.

The best part is you can use Fritos, regular Doritos, Cool Ranch Doritos, Cheetos, or even regular chips. Whatever you like you can use.

Originally considered fair food, the Tacos in a Bag aren’t only perfect for camping, but also for picnics, school lunches, grab and go lunches, and potluck get togethers.

TACOS IN A BAG

Walking Tacos Ingredients

  • Taco meat
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Tomato, diced
  • Pickled Jalapenos, sliced
  • Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • Colby Jack Cheese, shredded
  • Sour Cream
  • Chip bags, assorted flavors: Fritos, Cheetos, Doritos, etc. 
  • Any additional toppings you prefer

How to Make Tacos in a Bag

Prepare taco meat using your favorite recipe

Open the chip bag and crush chips slightly

Add taco meat

Add desired toppings

TACOS IN A BAG

Hold top of the bag closed and give it a shake to combine ingredients

Eat right out of the bag and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb prepared taco meat
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Tomato, diced
  • Pickled Jalapenos, sliced
  • Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • Colby Jack Cheese, shredded
  • Sour Cream
  • 1 oz chip bags, assorted flavors: Fritos, Cheetos, Doritos, etc. 
  • Any additional toppings you prefer

Instructions

  1. Prepare taco meat using your favorite recipe

  3. Add taco meat
