Rather than worry about the contaminants in our drinking water, we have opted for the Epic Nano Water Filter Pitcher. It removes Up To 99.999% of over 200+ tap water contaminants and takes the place of all those Plastic Water Bottles.

77 Plastic Water Bottles a Week vs Epic Nano Water Filter Pitcher
That's A LOT of plastic water bottles! Earth Day 2021 is here and I normally don't think of water bottles in that context.
However, when living full time in an RV, we have to think about not only how much weight we are carrying but what we are doing with our trash.
77 Plastic Water Bottles a week is only for two of us. Imagine if we were a family of four or even six. Five water bottles a day for me and five water bottles a day for my husband.
Add a gallon of water per day for coffee, other beverages, cooking, and the dog's drinking water.
When we are up in NY state, water bottles are returnable. We pay a deposit of .05 on each bottle and get it back when we return them. Which creates another problem.
Not only do we have to think about where we are storing all those full water bottles, but where are we going to store all those empty water bottles?
Then you always have to make sure you have more on hand so you don't run out. The store isn't right around the corner either.
We have well water and while that's supposed to be the best water around, it contains more contaminants than you know.
The Great Plastic Water Bottle Trade Off
Rather than worry about the contaminants in our water that we are drinking, we have opted for the Epic Nano Water Filter Pitcher. It removes Up To 99.999% of over 200+ tap water contaminants.
When we are out and about, we obviously can't carry the pitcher with us. However, we can take the Epic Nalgene OG Slim 20 oz. water filter bottle with us and the Nalgene Outdoor OG AtomicChild 32 oz bottle.
Drinking water from any of these makes us feel comfortable with our water choice.
Epic Nano Water Filter Pitcher
The bottom reservoir holds 68 oz. of water. With light use of filling the pitcher 1 to 2 times a day, the filter will last 4 to 6 months. Normal use of filling the pitcher two to three times a day, it will last 3 to 4 months.
And with heavy use, of filling the pitcher more than three times a day, the filter will last 2 to 3 months.
We most likely will only fill it about twice a day at most, so we won't have to change the filter for 4 to 6 months.
That is saving approximately 112 gallon plastic jugs at the least. That's a lot of jugs.
And that includes if I use it to fill my HydroJug a couple of times of week.
The Epic Nano Pitcher is also great if you have a boil water advisory. No one wants to have to boil water and wait for it to cool down to use it or drink it.
We've had a few boil water advisories a couple of times this past month already. And I'll tell you, it's a pain. I wish the pitcher would have arrived sooner.
Just fill the pitcher and you are good to go.
There is a day counter on the top of the pitcher. Hit start on your first day and it will count down for 90 days. How convenient is that?
Epic Nalgene OG Slim 20 oz. Water Filter Bottle
A safe water on-the-go OG Water Filtration System, the Epic Nalgene Slim comes in a 20 oz., 32 oz., or 48 oz. bottle.
We received the 20 oz. which takes the place of 550+ plastic water bottles lasting us approximately 4 months.
This filter will produce 75 gallons of fresh, contaminant free drinking water. All the filters are 100% replaceable and recyclable.
It removes 70+ Tap Water Contaminants. Lightweight and better than glass bottles.
Nalgene Outdoor OG AtomicChild 32 oz Bottle
The Nalgene Outdoor OG is the top of the line of water filter bottles. A 32 oz. bottle with a wide mouth, this bottle takes the place of 750+ plastic water bottles.
With that said, that means the AtomicChild will last me for about 5 months. The premium multi stage filter produces 100 gallons of fresh, contaminant free drinking water.
Considered the Original Gangster, it has an advanced biological water filter that instantly purifies water contaminants as you squeeze and/or suck from your bottle.
It provides a stress-free experience when drinking from heavily contaminated water sources.
I love the graphics on this water bottle. It's so fun and colorful. Outdoor Adventure Filter Removes Up To 99.9999% of Fresh Water Contaminants & more.
It comes with the clip to attach it to a backpack or purse so it can be easily carried with you.
This is perfect when we are out and about because we can fill it up at any hose spigot or anywhere we find water. When we are camping, water is questionable.
However, you can fill your bottle from a public fountain, rain water, a local creek, or a mud puddle in Bali.
