Cast Iron Skillet Chicken Parmesan Recipe
With the weather getting cooler, this cast iron skillet Chicken Parmesan recipe is the perfect comfort food. And while it can be made indoors no problem, it also makes the perfect camping meal.

Cast Iron Skillet Chicken Parmesan Pasta Recipes Ingredients
- Chicken breasts, pounded to ⅓- ½ inch thick
- Salt and pepper to season chicken
- Italian seasoned crumbs
- Oregano
- Basil
- Eggs
- Olive oil to fry
- Marinara sauce
- Fresh mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Spaghetti cooked
- Parsley to garnish

Chicken Parmesan Cast Iron Skillet Recipe Instructions
Place your chicken breasts on a large cutting board, trimming any excess fat. Season the chicken liberally with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a shallow bowl mix together the Italian bread crumbs, parmesan, basil, and oregano.
In another shallow bowl whisk together the 2 eggs.
Dip each chicken breast into the egg and then into the bread crumb mixture, making sure its coated evenly.
In a cast iron skillet add oil to fill the pan until it's ½- inch deep.
Heat the cast iron on medium until it's hot enough to fry.
Line a large plate with paper towels
and set aside.
Place 3- 4 pieces of chicken in the hot oil. Allow the chicken to cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Transfer the chicken to the paper towel lined plate to soak up excess oil
When all the chicken is cooked pour the frying oil into a glass container to dispose of. Wipe the skillet clean with a paper towel.
Slice your mozzarella into 1 inch thick slices - set to the side.
Pour the half of jar of spaghetti sauce in the skillet and place all the chicken into the sauce and top the chicken pieces with fresh mozzarella cheese and more sauce on top.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Place the skillet in the oven for 7-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Serve immediately over pasta.
Garnish with grated parmesan and parsley.
