What is the Best Vanilla Extract to Use
The vanilla that you use can make or break a recipe. The taste is everything.
I bought vanilla in Mexico when I went on a P&O cruise once. Everyone said it was the best. It was better than the imitation stuff but I’m not convinced it was the best.
Everyone said it was the best. It was better than the imitation stuff but I’m not convinced it was the best.
I have, however, found the best vanilla extract right in the USA in Kingman, AZ.
While we were on our 6000 miles for my 60th birthday trip, we traveled a lot of route 66. I’m a sucker for stopping at wineries and distilleries (which is why we belong to Harvest Hosts!) 😉
In Kingman, AZ, there is a distillery called Desert Diamond Distillery. Not only will you find their famous Gold Miner Rum, but also the best Vanilla Extract that you will ever find.
It’s made with their famous rum and you can smell and taste the difference. The Tahitian vanilla beans in the craft white rum base and aging process give this vanilla extract a flavor that is more pronounced than others.
For those looking for an extra quality to include in their recipes, the Limited batches of Vanilla Extract are what you want. Get yours before they run out!
The problem is that I only purchased one bottle. Luckily, I live in a state that it can be shipped to. Some states will not allow shipping it because of the alcohol in it. 🙄
