How to Make Extra Crispy Chicken Wings
My husband loves crispy air fryer chicken wings. Which is the main reason I make them. Being from Buffalo and living in Florida, we have a hard time finding good wings.
The trick to really crispy wings is to leave them in the air fryer for a long period of time. Which is the reason that we start out with 20 minutes and flip for another 10.

How to Make the BEST Crown Royal Peach BBQ Chicken Wings
Start by rinsing your chicken wings under cold water. If you purchased whole chicken wings, (as I did by mistake) and the wing tips are still attached, cut them off and discard them.
Do not remove the chicken skin because that is what is going to get crispy.
Pat dry with a paper towel. Place a parchment round in the bottom of the air fryer basket.
Place wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to do them in a few batches.
The great thing about these is that you don't need to spritz them with olive oil or baking powder to make them crispy.
Air fry at 380 for 20 minutes.
Flip and air fry for another 10 minutes. You can remove them from the air fryer when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F on the meat thermometer. You will now have perfectly cooked wings.
The Sauce
While the wings are cooking, place the Peach BBQ sauce (or your favorite sauce) in a large bowl.
Add your peach preserves and whisk together until combined.
Next, add your Peach Crown and Frank's hot sauce and whisk until fully blended. (I also use this BBQ sauce on air fryer chicken breasts.
Remove your chicken and place in the bowl with your favorite bbq sauce mixture and coat until they are all covered.
Place back in the air fryer and broil for about 5 minutes. You can always brush bbq sauce on them when you remove them if you want more.
If your air fryer does not have a broil button like my Ninja Foodi, just place it on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 5 minutes or until the glaze has caramelized.
Enjoy with a side of blue cheese (or ranch dressing if you are from the south) for dipping. And for a side dish, serve with french fries, sweet potato fries, and a salad for a complete meal.
These also make a great appetizer.
BBQ air fryer wings are the bomb. I am always on the lookout for new air fryer recipes. But when I can't find what I'm looking for...I always have the best time making my own barbecue chicken wings.
