AIR FRYER GRILLED CHEESESTEAK RECIPE
My husband loves crispy grilled cheese sandwiches. But he also loves cheesesteak hoagies. Since I didn't have any hoagie rolls, I compromised with what I did have. That is how we ended up with air fryer Grilled Cheesesteak Sandwich recipe. And to be honest, it was mouthwatering delicious.

Air Fried Grilled Cheesesteak Sandwich Ingredients
- Provolone Cheese
- Swiss Cheese (you can use any other type of cheese that you like, this is just my husbands favorite)
- Buttered Bread
- Fried Steak-Eze with Onions & Peppers ( you can use your preferred steak such as steak-umm, that you make your cheesesteaks with, I've used Steak-eze because that's what I used at my Snack Bar)
- Mushrooms (optional)
- Ninja Foodie or Air Fryer
How to Make the Best Crispy Grilled Cheesesteak Ever
1. Fry up your Steak-Eze (or preferred cheesesteak meat) with onions and peppers)
2. Butter up your bread. Either place in air fryer and layer or I did mine on a plate and then placed it the air fryer as I found that to be easier. I normally place 2 sandwiches in when I use the basket but 2 did not fit on the rack.
3. Layer provolone cheese, Swiss cheese, fried cheesesteak mixture, Swiss cheese, provolone and finally the other slice bread.
4. Place in air fryer or Ninja Foodie. I used my rack in my Ninja Foodie this time instead of the basket this time, but I still had to flip it.
5. Air Fry for approximately 5 minutes on 400 degrees until desired crispiness is achieved.
6. Flip carefully (I used big metal tongs to flip it with) for another 5 minutes or until desired crispiness is to your liking.
7. Carefully remove from air fryer or ninja foodie and enjoy!
8. Repeat with second sandwich.
