Easy Ways to Shred Chicken
There are multiple ways to shred chicken. If it's been cooked long enough, then any of these methods will work.
Hands - Sometimes, I will just use my hands to shred the chicken. If it's not too hot, your hands are really the easiest.
Hand Mixer - If you have a hand mixer readily available, pop those beaters on and shred away.
Meat Claws - Meat Claws are great for any type of meat. If you have these on hand, then by all means use them. I have way more stuff crammed in my RV than I know what to do with. 😂
Two Forks - This is sometimes the easiest because most likely they are right at your fingertips. I find they can sometimes be a bit awkward so I use them as a last resort.
How to Make Crockpot Shredded Chicken
Grease the bowl of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray and place chicken along the bottom of the bowl.
If the chicken needs to be layered, season the bottom layer before placing more chicken on top.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Add the chicken broth.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
When the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it with meat claws.
Strain the extra chicken bits out of the liquid in the pot and return the meat to the slow cooker.
Stir to combine the meat with the juices.
