Strawberry Dressing Substitutions

  • You can substitute 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup in place of the sugar if you prefer.
  • White vinegar can be used in place of apple cider vinegar if you don’t have any.
  • Use lime juice instead of vinegar.
  • 8 oz. of fresh berries rather than frozen can be used.

When the strawberry season is here, I like to cut up a bunch of strawberries and mash them with a pastry blender.

I then put them in the freezer in separate containers so that I have them for recipes like this or fresh strawberry shortcakes with ice cream.
