Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a delicacy in themselves. But when you have wine, chocolate and strawberries all rolled into one and are Weight Watchers friendly, you are in heaven. Wine infused, wine-soaked whatever you want to call it, are to die for.
Wine Soaked Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Strawberry season in Florida has begun and although the peak of the season is not for another month, our wonderful strawberries are in stores. Check out these 40+ Weight Watchers dessert recipes for more sweetness.
However, Wine is the best alcohol for strawberries by far. Whether you want to soak the strawberries in it or just drink it along with the chocolate strawberries, you'll be in heaven.
And with Valentines Day a couple of weeks away, the wine-infused strawberries are perfect for your romantic dinner.
Of course, you can omit the wine and just make chocolate-covered strawberries for the littles or elders or anyone who doesn't drink.
These are also great because if you are on the WW Freestyle Program formerly known as Weight Watchers, 3 wine-infused chocolate strawberries are just 7 points (and so worth it, I might add IMO!) 🤗
There are actually two ways of making these. One is with the Pipettes and the other is to soak them in a bowl of wine overnight.
I actually prefer the soaking overnight now, since I have tried it that way. It's much easier.
