Taco Stuffed Crescent Rolls
These simple taco stuffed crescent rolls are delicious appetizers or a quick dinner idea! Taco Tuesday comes but once a week. We like to switch it up and try and have something different each week.
The Taco Crescent Rolls are a fun way to get your two favorite things together, tacos and crescent rolls. They are easy to make and the family will want them more often than just on Tuesdays.
Did you know that Taco Tuesday® is a registered trademark since 1989. It belongs to the largest Mexican restaurant chain, Taco John's. Who knew?
So technically, restaurants that use the phrase Taco Tuesday in their advertising, are infringing on Taco John's trademark.
I've been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and have never known that. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.
However, people will still celebrate Taco Tuesday as long as they aren't claiming it as theirs. But be on the lookout, every few years, Taco John's will send out cease and desist letters.
With all that being said, it seems that there are more restaurants that claim Taco Tuesday to be their trademark. And actually at this point, I'm totally confused as to who owns it.
But what I do know is that everyone loves Taco Tuesday and celebrates it at home and in their own ways. Today we are celebrating Taco Tuesday with Taco Crescent Rolls.

How to Make Crescent Rolls Stuffed with Taco Meat
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the tomatoes with chilies and onion.
When the beef is cooked through, add the taco seasoning and water. Reserve a small amount of taco seasoning for garnish, if desired. Stir to combine.
Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens, around 5 minutes.
When the beef is cooked, remove the pan from heat and set aside.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
Spread two to three tablespoons of meat mixture over the bottom of the triangle and press it into place.
Top with one tablespoon of shredded cheese, then carefully roll up the dough.
Place each crescent roll on an un-greased baking sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
Combine the butter and reserved taco seasoning and brush over the top of each crescent roll.
Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving, if desired.
Enjoy!
