Peppermint Milkshake Recipe for Adults
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Okay, maybe not so much if you have to work until 6 pm on Christmas Eve and have not had time to go shopping, but still – the holidays are great!
And the best part about them? The holiday recipes!
Here’s one that combines your favorite mint and chocolate flavors with your favorite holiday tipple: peppermint Rumchata.
Enjoy this boozy peppermint milkshake recipe this holiday season! (Hint: it’s great as an adult beverage too!)
This boozy peppermint milkshake recipe is perfect for any holiday party, or any day when you want a little extra energy.
For this milkshake, you'll need peppermint bark ice cream, milk, peppermint Rumchata (of course!), and crushed candy canes.
The next step is to mix everything together until it's nice and frothy - then add whipped cream on top if you want!
The ingredients are totally customizable too - all you have to do is play around until you find what makes your taste buds sing.
If you're looking for something less potent, try using dark rum instead of peppermint Rumchata, or skip the alcohol altogether.
You can also get creative by adding other ingredients like cocoa powder or chopped-up candy canes into the mix!
No matter how you shake it up, this boozy peppermint milkshake will be a hit at any party!
And hey, if you want to skip the booze, that means one more person drinks responsibly instead of getting behind the wheel after they've had too much to drink. Then I'm calling that a win-win situation. It will still taste just as good.
A great way to enjoy your cocktail at home is to use the proper tools and measurements.
Along with that, make sure you have quality ingredients on hand. For instance, if you don't have a peppermint Rumchata or Peppermint ice cream around, try adding some peppermint extract instead.
There are also a variety of types of alcohol to choose from when it comes to making mixed drinks and other recipes, such as peppermint vodka, gin, whiskey, and rum.
And as we move into the winter season and colder weather sets in, don't forget about warming spirits like bourbon or Scotch.
